Part 1
Assignment 1
Follow the principle you are familiar with of reading a poem three times. Use this template to create three mindmaps, which you will use as a basis to complete the upcoming assignments. The subjects are:
First reading: what is the poem about?
Second reading: what are the feelings/emotions in the poem?
Third reading: what imagery is there in the poem?

Assignment 2
Imagine you had to give each of the three stanzas a title. Provide the title and a short justification for your choice.

Now answer the questions about each stanza.
1) How would you describe the mood in stanza 1? Explain.

3) Which of the Romantic movement's key features is clearly obvious in the third stanza? Explain.

The title gives it away; the poem is about Autumn. How does Keats work the changing Autumn season into the poem? Explain.

Throughout the poem, Keats personifies Autumn. Do you think he had a man or a woman in mind? Explain.

What do you think Keats' purpose was in composing "To Autumn"? (What did he want to achieve?)
